Embossed Nameplates
Adding an embossed metal nameplate or decal to your business information or products can put you ahead of the competition. With a variety of metals to choose from for your custom embossed metal tags and the freedom to input your own desired text or image, American Nameplate can quickly and efficiently create identification labels that you’re proud to display and share.
How Embossed Tags Are Made
The embossing process uses pressure and force to raise the text or visual on a piece of metal. The metal of your choosing for your embossed tag is sandwiched between two die cuts — referred to as the female and male dies — and is then squeezed and pressurized together. The end result is a raised text, similar to that on a credit card, that stands out and is readable in all environments and conditions.
Benefits of Custom Embossed Metal Labels
Some regulations and industries actually require embossed tags and labels over anything screen printed, such as Leak Detection services and Fugitive Emissions Inspections. Because of its raised metal text, an embossed tag will outlive a painted or powder-coated label, which could easily become unreadable in harsh conditions. For tough machinery or industrial settings, embossed equipment nameplates are durable enough to survive the harsh and often rough handling of items.
Embossed Metal Labels
At American Nameplate, you’ll have your choice of aluminum, brass, CRS or stainless steel embossed metal labels. Aluminum nameplates have the largest range of available thicknesses, from 0.003 inches up to 0.063 inches. You can also select your preferred finish, whether it’s a brushed or milled setting or more polished and matte. Adhesives and holes for your embossed tags are also available for you to custom select. If you need serial numbering on your custom embossed metal tags, include the specifics, and we’ll make sure your label is identifiable for your production.
